Ruth Anderwald and Leonhard Grond: Born in 1976 + 1977 in Graz, Austria, they have been working as an artist duo since 1999 in the fields of photography, experimental film, artistic research, and art in public space. Since 2012 the artists have been curating the nomadic screening and discussion series HASENHERZ that visited Kulturzentrum bei den Minoriten Graz, Whitechapel Gallery London, Kunsthalle Vienna, Videonale Bonn, and Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv. Already HASENHERZ takes inspiration from Arnold Schönberg’s Society for Private Musical Performances, founded 1918 in Mödling, Austria. Anderwald + Grond’s works were shown internationally, e.g. at Kunsthaus Graz; U-jazdowksi Castle Warsaw; Centre Pompidou Paris; Tate Modern, London; Whitechapel Gallery, London; Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; Himalayas Art Museum Shanghai; Museum for Applied Arts, Vienna, and CCA-Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv. www.anderwald-grond.at
