Israel: A Global Leader in Digital Health and AI
Israel has established itself as a global leader in artificial intelligence, with more than 2,200 specialized companies—nearly three times the number recorded a decade ago. Digital healthcare is one of the most innovative sectors: 58% of HealthTech companies already integrate AI into their solutions.
AI is reshaping Israeli medicine through groundbreaking innovations:
– Medical imaging & assisted diagnosis – Algorithms enabling early disease detection
– Drug discovery & development – Predictive modeling accelerating new therapies
– Personalized medicine – Leveraging vast medical databases to tailor treatments
– Preventive healthcare & telemedicine – AI-driven solutions optimizing risk prediction and accessibility
In 2023, Israeli AI startups raised $3.9 billion, representing 47% of total startup investments in the country. Israel also benefits from a unique advantage: digitized medical records spanning over 30 years and covering a population of 9 million. This pioneering use of Electronic Health Records has positioned Israel as a launchpad for healthcare-focused AI startups and a global leader in medical data innovation.
Strengthening France–Israel Collaboration in AI & Healthcare
This bilateral symposium aims to:
– Foster collaborations between French and Israeli experts in AI-powered healthcare
– Explore funding opportunities through Horizon Europe and bilateral agreements
– Showcase French and Israeli advancements and their impact on the future of medicine
