Friday, November 1, 2024 from 11:00 to 13:00
Auditorium of the French Institute of Tel-Aviv, Rothschild blvd. 7
The French Embassy in Israel and the French Institute in Israel are pleased to invite you to the 1st Scientific Symposium of the Chateaubriand Research Fellowships Program, which will occur on Friday, November 1st from 11 am to 1 pm and then to a cocktail, offered to the participants (until 2 pm) on the rooftop of the French Institute.
It will be a great opportunity for PhD students, Researchers and university Professors to attend a showcasing of the 2023 Chateaubriand alumni’s research excellence, carried out in France.
We are honored to have Prof. Dan Peer, Vice President for Research and Development of Tel Aviv University as the key speaker of this event. Prof. Dan PEER is one of the most active reviewers of this program; he will present one of the research projects he and his team are currently working on (his speech will last up to 30 minutes). Prof PEER is also the director of the Laboratory of Precision Nanomedicine of TAU and the Founder and Managing Director of the SPARK Tel Aviv, Center for Translational Medicine.
We encourage all our Chateaubriand alumni and reviewers to participate at inspiring talks, engaging discussions and valuable networking opportunities. The Symposium participants will present (in English) their research works, carried out in France in a short format mini-conferences (during 7 to 10 minutes), which seems to be the most appropriate in order to allow as many alumni to participate and share with us their “discoveries”. The 2023 Chateaubriand alumni are coming from very diverse fields of research: bioinformatics, ecology, neuroscience, rhetorical education, literature and art theory. The subjects will be “friendly” presented, thus the importance of science popularization and its mutual benefits.
We will also host an alumnus of 2021 who is doing a bi-national PhD in musicology and interweaves research and practice; he will present briefly his research and will play a music piece on an ancient baroque instrument.
